A K-12 Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in Orland Park, IL, for the contract school year through June 3, 2026. This on-site role supports students from early childhood through 8th grade, focusing on speech and language development within a dynamic school environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing comprehensive speech and language evaluations and interventions to K-8 students.
- Collaborating with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting therapy plans as needed.
- Ensuring compliance with state regulations and school policies related to speech-language pathology services.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and records of services rendered.
Qualifications and experience:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology is preferred.
- Previous experience working in a school setting with K-8 or EC-8 students.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, evidence-based speech therapy services.
Location and hours:
- Position is located in Orland Park, IL.
- On-site only; no virtual or telepractice options.
- Approximately 33.75 hours per week during the school year.
